The Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE) is a state government-owned and operated Nigerian university previously known as Rivers State College of Education from June 1971 to October 2009.
Rivers State is in between Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa state. The university was founded in 2010 and is located in Port Harcourt. Ignatius Ajuru University of Education has no religious affiliation and so promotes student diversity.

Ignatius Ajuru University of Education Acceptance Fee
How much is the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education acceptance fee? IAUE acceptance fee is N45,000 (forty-five thousand naira only) and is nonrefundable. The acceptance fee is a compulsory payment for all newly admitted students of the institution and it is not included in the school fees.
IAUE Hostel Accommodation Fee
How much is the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education hostel accommodation fee? IAUE hostel fee is N30,000 (thirty thousand naira only) per academic year. The hostel fee covers bed space and maintenance. Accommodations are available for all interested students per academic year.
Note
Late payment of IAUE tuition fees for first-year students may either attract extra charges, inability to sit for a semester examination, or forfeit of admission.
All freshers and old students are advised to pay the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education school fees early at the designated banks nationwide. Payment of IAUE fees 2023 should be made within the stipulated time given by the school.
IAUE Admission Requirements
A) Below are the requirements for candidates who wish to gain admission into IAUE through JAMB (UTME):
- A minimum of 5 credits in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE) Ordinary Level Credits in a maximum of 2 sittings.
- You must choose the correct JAMB subject combination for your course. Check the JAMB Brochure!
- Candidates must score at least 180 in the just concluded JAMB UTME examination to be offered admission into the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education.
- You Must Participate in IAUE POST UTME/SCREENING to be considered for admission if any for the year.
- Candidates must have reached the age of 16.

B) IAUE Admission Requirements For Direct Entry (DE):
Below are the requirements for candidates who wish to gain admission into Ignatius Ajuru University of Education IAUE through Direct Entry:
- A minimum of 5 credits in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE) Ordinary Level Credits in a maximum of 2 sittings.
- Candidates must have ‘A’ level/IJMB passes in two subjects that are related to their area of study.
- JUPEB/A’ Level passes in Related subjects.
- Degree (First Class/Second Class Upper) in related fields for your course of choice.
- Direct entry candidates are required to purchase the IAUE Direct Entry form through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) And IAUE Portal.
- A minimum of Merit Pass in the National Certificate of Education (NCE), National Diploma (ND) and other Advanced Level Certificates.
