About Federal Polytechnic Ilaro
Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro is a Federal-Government owned tertiary institution located at Illaro, Ogun State, Nigeria. It currently has five faculties which are: the School of Engineering, School of Environmental Studies, School of Communication and Information Technology, School of Management Studies, and School of Pure and Applied Sciences.
Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro was established by law on July 25, 1979, and opened her gates to the public on November 15, 1979.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria has recognized the polytechnic as the only one in Nigeria that has maintained high standards of tuition in accountancy.
The Polytechnic is a vision and mission-driven institution set to take the lead in the provision of technical skilled students/manpower in Nigeria. Federal Polytechnic Ilaro provides several opportunities in technical education along with a good learning environment for students and a working environment for staff.
Being a Federal Polytechnic, The institution admits students irrespective of their religious or cultural backgrounds. The institution has its rules and regulations which are firm but not too stringent. The Federal Polytechnic Ilaro school fees are also very affordable to Nigerians with tuition less than N100,000.

Federal Polytechnic Ilaro Cutoff Marks
Polytechnic Ilaro accepts candidates who scored 150 and above in JAMB UTME to participate in the post-UTME screening exercise for admission into the 2023/2024 session.
The Federal Polytechnic Ilaro Post-UTME cutoff mark is the minimum score in the post-UTME screening expected from candidates who had participated in the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro Post-UTME Screening.
This is the least post-UTME score eligible for admission consideration.

Admission Requirements Of Federal Polytechnic Ilaro
- A) NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND) PROGRAMMES;
WAEC, GCE[O/L], SSCE, NECO, NABTEB or equivalent with Credits in the English Language (not Literature in English), Mathematics, and any three subjects from the following: History, Economics, Commerce, Literature in English, Fine Art, Government, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Basic Electricity, Geography, Typewriting, Principles of Accounts, Photography, Computer Science, Music, Nigerian and International Language, Printing and Craft Practice, Radio/ Television and Electronics Works, Shorthand, Fine Art / Visual Art, Book Keeping, CRS/IRS, Cosmetology, Marketing, Civic Education, Pass in Physics, Electronics/Basic Electricity will be an advantage. And Relevant NTC/NBC &NVC.
- B) HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) PROGRAMMES
Applicants seeking Higher National Diploma [HND] admission must possess the basic entry requirements for the National Diploma Programme. In addition, the applicant must possess the ND in Computer science obtained at not less than the Lower Credit level from the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, or from any other Polytechnic accredited for the programme, or its recognized equivalent plus a minimum of one [1] year post qualification relevant industrial work experience. The candidate should also request his or her institution to forward his or her official academic transcript under confidential cover to the Registrar, Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro.
