To be eligible for admission into LCU, candidates must possess a minimum of five credit-level passes in subjects including English Language, obtained in GCE O/L, SSCE, NECO, NABTEB, or equivalent, within a maximum of two sittings.

Additionally, candidates with ‘A’ Levels in GCE, IJMB, JUPEB, NCE, OND, University Diploma, or equivalent qualifications have the option of applying through Direct Entry, starting from Part II of their chosen Bachelor’s degree program.

Conversion programs, spanning two years, are available for individuals with University degrees, HND, ACA, or equivalent qualifications. Candidates who did not initially select LCU in their UTME application are still eligible for admission.

Those without UTME scores can also apply for the IJMB/JUPEB pre-degree programs, providing a pathway to 200-level admission via Direct Entry.

Application Process

The application process at LCU is straightforward and can be completed in four steps:

• Complete the application form in four stages.
• Submit the form along with a processing fee of N10,300 only.
• Wait for your application to be processed.

Upon successful application, candidates will be required to pay an acceptance fee of N50,300 to secure their admission.

Screening Centres and Requirements

LCU has designated screening centers at the Main Campus (Lagos Ibadan Toll Gate, Ibadan) and the Surulere center in Lagos. Applicants should come prepared with the following documents:

• Printout of 2023 UTME Result Slip
• Four recent Passport Photographs
• Photocopies of Ordinary Level Result (if available)
• Photocopies of Birth Certificate
• Sponsorship Letter
• Photocopies of Sponsor’s Identity Card
• Reference Letter from a reputable organization vouching for the candidate’s character
• Evidence of Payment (Bank Teller)

Transfer Students/Direct Entry applicants must also bring photocopies of Previous Admission Letter, JAMB Admission Letter, Official Transcript, Level Result, and Notification of Result (for Direct Entry Only).
