Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for these scholarships, international students must meet the following criteria:

Be a citizen of any country in Africa or one of the listed countries (Indonesia, Vietnam, China, South Korea, India, or Bangladesh).
Gain admission as a new student in the fall 2024 term to an eligible undergraduate program offered in English within the specified faculties.
Not enroll in the French immersion stream.
Possess a valid study permit at the start of classes.
Be enrolled full time.

Types of Scholarships

Students from Africa, India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, or Vietnam will automatically be eligible for an Entrance or Excellence renewable, average-based scholarship when they enroll in an eligible undergraduate program offered in English.
The University will consider students from China or South Korea for Excellence scholarships in the same programs.

Note: Canadian citizens with dual citizenship (Canada and another country) are not eligible for this scholarship, as they already qualify for Canadian tuition rates.

Application Process

Apply to the University of Ottawa and receive your uoAccess ID and password.
All scholarship and bursary applications must be submitted online using the Online Scholarships and Bursaries platform.
Application forms are typically available two months before the application deadline.
Before applying, carefully review all the requirements and make sure to upload all necessary documents on the Online Scholarships and Bursaries platform.”
