FUTA Requirements for Some Courses

Biomedical Technology

For subject combination, FUTA requires English, Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry/Physics.

For the O’level requirement, FUTA requires five (5) SSC credit passes or its equivalent at a maximum of two (2) sittings in the following subjects: Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Human Anatomy:

JAMB Subject Combination: English, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. O’level Requirement: FUTA requires five (5) SSC credit passes or its equivalent at a maximum of two (2) sittings in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Direct Entry Requirement: FUTA requires; a) A minimum of Upper Credit at ND Level from recognised Polytechnics and Colleges of Technology in relevant disciplines. b) ‘A’ Level passes or its equivalent (such as GCE Cambridge, JUPEB, etc.) at one sitting in at least two (2) Science subjects including Biology.

Physiology

JAMB Subject Combination: English, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. O’level Requirement: FUTA requires five (5) SSC credit passes or its equivalent at a maximum of two (2) sittings in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology

Additional Charges And Miscellaneous Fees

There are other FUTA additional charges you could pay, some of which include remita charges, etc., which could range from N1000 to N3000, among others.

Acceptance Fee

The current acceptance fee is N50,000. Once the acceptance fee has been paid, the student will be able to complete their online registration and begin their studies at FUTA.

Payment Procedure 

The payment procedure for the school fee in FUTA is as follows:

  • Go to the FUTA website and login to your student portal.
  • Click on the “Payments” tab and select the “Acceptance Fee” option.
  • Enter your payment details, including your student ID number and the amount of the fee.
  • Select a payment method and follow the instructions.

Here are the payment methods that you can use to pay the acceptance fee in FUTA:

  • Bank transfer: You can transfer the acceptance fee to the FUTA bank account.
  • Online payment: You can pay the acceptance fee online using a debit or credit card.

Tuition Fees for Old Students

The current school fees for old students at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) are 29,000 to 32,000, depending on the level of the student.

Changes in Tuition Fees For Freshers and Returning Students

The tuition fees for returning students at FUTA have undergone changes. Previously, the school fees for returning students amounted to ₦18,900.00.

However, there has been an increase, and the revised tuition fees now stand at N32,000.”

 

FUTA General Cutoff Mark 2023/2024

For the 2023/2024 academic session, the general Cutoff Mark for all courses at the Federal University of Technology Akure FUTA is 180.

So, every candidate who chose FUTA in their last Jamb is expected to score a minimum of 180 to be eligible to apply for the post-UTME form and have a chance to qualify for admission.

Failure to score 180 is an automatic disqualification.
