Edo State University (EDSU) has opened its doors for applications in the post-UTME/DE screening exercise for the 2023/2024 academic session.

General Admission Requirements
For UTME (Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination) Candidates:
- A minimum UTME Passmark of 140 is required.
- Applicants must have five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two sittings. (For Medicine and Surgery, the five credits must be obtained at one sitting only.)
- Candidates awaiting results may also apply.
- All applicants will be required to undergo the EDSU screening exercise.
For Direct Entry Candidates:
- A minimum of a merit pass in NCE, credit in OND/HND, or at least a second class (Lower Division) in BSc is required.
- Candidates with two advanced level passes or their equivalent in relevant subjects can apply.
- Other acceptable qualifications include IJMB, JUPEB, or Cambridge-moderated School of Basic Studies at acceptable grade levels.
For Transfer Candidates:
- Candidates must meet the specified conditions, including a CGPA of not less than 1.5.
- The application process involves purchasing and completing the prescribed EDSU Inter-University Transfer application form online, passing an interview/screening conducted by EDSU, and providing the transcript of academic records.

All applicants must appear for the EDSU Screening Exercise on September 7, 2023. Candidates are requested to come along with the following for the screening exercise:

- O-level result
- Birth certificate or affidavit.
