What are the Requirements and Costs when Relocating to the UK for Masters?

International Passport
A Nigerian passport should be the first thing you need to get before every other thing. Getting a new passport costs around N45,000 although the official rate is N22,000. Some passports can cost up to N75,000. The general rate for international passport categories is listed below:
- 32-page five-year official passport = ₦15,000
- 32-page five-year standard passport = ₦25,000
- 64-page five-year standard passport = ₦35,000
- 64-page 10-year standard passport = ₦70,000
Student Visa
A student visa should cost around €348 which is a total of N278,400. This rate is measured at the rate of N800 per Euros.
Transcript
The school runs to process your transcript will cost you around N30,000 to N45,000 while you will spend around N25,000 to N30,000 to send it.
Proof of Study Funds
They will require you to provide proof of study funds in your account. This indicates that you are fully prepared financially in relocating to the UK for Masters in paying your tuition, accommodation, and other costs.

NHS Charges
The National Health Service (NHS) charge may include the Tuberculosis Test If you are staying in the UK for more than six (6) months. You would need to take a tuberculosis test at the International Organization for Migration (IOM) at any of their authorized centers in Lagos and Abuja. The Tuberculosis Test costs about ₦57,800, and the International Organization should pay this for Migration.
NHS charge will also include the Immigration Health Surcharge which will guarantee that you get access to health facilities while in the UK. It is mandatory for everyone coming to the UK for six months or longer. The fee can be paid online as part of your visa application.
The amount you pay for IHS depends on your stay in the UK. If you are staying for 6-12 months, you would be required to pay €470. For a stay reaching more, you would pay €705. If you want an extension that is less than six (6) months, you will pay €235.
