Kogi State Polytechnic (KSP) HND Admission Form for 2020/2021 Academic Session
The management of the Kogi State Polytechnic invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into its Higher National Diploma (HND) full-time and part-time programmes for the 2020/2021 academic session. The KSP HND Admission 2020 Form is finally on sale.
Kogi State Polytechnic HND Programmes & Requirements
1.0 School of Management Sciences
Higher National Diploma in:
- Accountancy
- Business Administration
- Public Administration
- Office Technology and Management
- Library and Information Science
1.1 Entry Requirements
- Higher National Diploma in Accountancy (Two Years)
- Candidates must possess National Diploma in Accounting and related programmes and must have a minimum of lower credit (CGPA) of 2.50 and five credits at 0/L (NECO, WASC/SSCE/GCE/NABTEC) at not more than two sittings which must include English Language and Mathematics. In addition, candidates must have a minimum of one (1) year compulsory Industrial Training or a pass in ND result with 2 Years compulsory Industrial Training attachment. ND Transcript is required for admission into all HND programmes, especially for candidates from other institutions.
- Higher National Diploma in Business Administration (Two Years)
- Same as (1.1a) above but qualification must be National Diploma in Business
- Studies and related Programmes.
- Higher National Diploma in Public Administration (Two Years)
- Same as (1.1a) above but qualification must be National Diploma in Public Administration and at least a credit pass in Government or Civic Education at the O’level.
- Higher National Diploma in Office Technology Management (Two Years)
- Same as (1.1a) above, but qualification must be National Diploma in Office Technology and Management.
- Higher National Diploma in Library and Information Science (Two Years)
- Same as (1.1a) above but qualification must be National Diploma in Library and Information Science and at least a credit pass in one science subject at the O’level.
2.0 School of Applied Sciences
Higher National Diploma in
- Statistics
- Science Laboratory Technology
- Computer Science
- Microbiology
2.1 Entry Requirements
- Higher National Diploma in Statistics (Two Years)
- Candidates must possess National Diploma in Statistics and must have a minimum of lower credit (CGPA) of 2.50 and five credits at O/L (NECO/WASC/GCE/NABTEC) at not more than two sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agric Science. In Addition, candidates must have a minimum of one (1) year compulsory Industrial Training or a pass in ND result with two years Industrial Training. ND Transcript is required for admission into all HND programmes, especially for candidates from other institutions.
- Higher National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology (Two Years)
- With options in Chemistry, Biochemistry and Environmental Biology. Same as (2.1a) but qualification must be National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology.
- Higher National Diploma in Computer Science (Two Years)
- Candidates must possess National Diploma in Computer Science and must have a minimum of lower credit (CGPA) of 2.50 and five credits at O/L (NECO/WASC/GCE/NABTEB TECHNICAL TRADE) at not more than two sittings. English Language, Mathematics and Physics are compulsory at credit level. A credit in any other Science Subject and Social Science subject is also required, with one (1) year compulsory Industrial Training or a pass in ND result with two years of compulsory Industrial Training.
3.0 School of Art Design and Printing
(i) Higher National Diploma Programme (HND) in Industrial Design with Options in Graphics, Textiles and Ceramics.
(ii) Higher National Diploma Programme (HND) in Fine Arts with Options in Painting and Sculpture.
3.1 Entry Requirements
- Candidates for the Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes in Industrial Design with Options in Graphics, Textiles and Ceramics must possess the following:
- A minimum of Lower Credit (CGPA) of 2.50 and five credits at O/L (NECO, WASC/SSCE/NABTEB) at not more than two sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Fine Arts or Visual Arts, Chemistry, Geography, History, Biology, Literature in English, Clothing and Textiles, Religious Knowledge and any other Sciences. In addition, candidates must have a minimum of One (1) year compulsory Industrial training or a pass in ND result with Two (2) years compulsory Industrial Training.
- Higher National Diploma Programme (HND) in Fine Arts with Options in Painting and Sculpture.
- Same as (3.1 a) above.
4.0 School of Engineering Technology
4.1 Higher National Diploma in Mineral Resources Engineering (Two Years)
With Options in the following:
- Mining Engineering Technology
- Geological Engineering Technology
- Mineral Processing Engineering Technology
Entry Requirements
- Candidates must possess National Diploma in Mineral Resources Engineering with a minimum of Lower Credit and five credits at O/L (NECO/WASC/SSCE/GCE/NABTEC) at not more than two sittings which must include Mathematics, Chemistry and any three subjects from Metal-work, Technical–Drawing, Basic Electronics, Geography, Statistics, Additional Mathematics and English Language. Such candidates must have one year compulsory Industrial Training or a pass in ND result with two years Industrial Training.
4.2 Higher National Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering (Two Years)
Entry Requirements
- Same as (4.1a) but qualification must be National Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering.
5.0 School of Environmental Technology
- Higher National Diploma In: Urban and Regional Planning
Entry Requirements
(i) Candidates must possess National Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning with a minimum of Lower Credit Pass (CGPA) 2.50 and five credit passes in (NECO/WASC/NABTEC/ANTC) in a relevant subject to the programme, i.e Mathematics, English Language, Geography and two subjects from the followings; Economics, Technical Drawing, Statistics and one science subjects from Chemistry, Physics, Biology/Agric Science, Fine Art.
(ii) Five credits pass in relevant subjects obtained at the final examination of an NBTE recognized Preliminary-ND programme offered in a Polytechnic or similar Post-Secondary Technical Institution.
(iii) A minimum of One year compulsory Industrial Training and Lower Credit in ND. Candidates with a pass in ND result and two years compulsory Industrial Training are eligible for admission.
In exceptional cases, ND holders with a pass (CGPA of 2.00-2.49) and two or more years of cognate experience in the specific field may be considered for admission into HND programmes.

Application forms for the regular programmes are accessed online on payment of Six Thousand, Five Hundred Naira only (N6,500.00) in Zenith Bank and made payable to Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja.
HND screening fee is N2,500.

- Select full time application
- Enter your name, email and your mobile number then select your programme type (e.g HND, NDS… e.t.c) from the programme list.
- Ensure email is valid as an authentication code including your username (phone number) and password would be sent to your email.
- Once the authentication page window
- Once authentication is done
- After authentication, you will be required to login with your username (phone number) and password.
- Complete the biodata form
- Select your course of study
- Complete payment for an application form by generating two different RRR to pay for a Registration form (N6,500) and Screening (N2,500)
- Print a copy of your application slip for screening.
